Did yo perhaps mean blinders intead of blinkers"

Blinkers makes me think of horses in Amish country, with their strange mixes of old and new technologies.

@snytiger6 They may be called blinders in the US but I am quite sure they are called blinkers in Australia, but then perhaps not. Anyway you know what I mean.

@Jolanta Now I feel liek I shoudl have checked out where you were from. I have made several; posts regarding vocabulary differences between English speaking countries. I feel a bit embarrassed that the possibility of vocabulary differences didn't occur to me.

I do think that "blinkers" has mroe character as a word than "blinders".

In America we have a colloquialism in describing a person who is narrow minded, refusing to see other people's points of view. We say, it is like he/she is wearing blinders and can only see what is right in front of them. Somehow "blinkers" does nto exactly fit into that description quite as well. It may just be my own cultural bias....

Still, if I ever her someone referring to a horse's blinkers, I will know what they are talkign bout. Thank you.
