I paraphrase: Hokey religions and ancient rituals are no match for a hungry crocodile, kid.
I don't care if this story is true or not, it is consistent with the christian god's sense of humour.
Lemme guess, God only takes the good ones, it was his time, he has been rewarded with eternal life, love and bliss for his servitude.
You people DO realize this was a fake story...right?
Please tell me I'm not the only one here who researched this.
I did research it and found the story widely reported by legit sources, including cbs and bbc. Do you a have a source that suggests it's fake? Would very much like to read it.
Reported widely in reliable sources, including USA Today, Fox, BBC, Washington Post, Reuters, etc.
It is fake:

@RichWWeissmann -- As much as I enjoy the Friendly Atheist and find them right more often than not, there is nothing in their article that is reliable other than history relating to similar reports. No evidence regarding the reported incident is provided. The original reportage came from the BBC, a consistent source of factual reporting. So, although it must be treated with some skepticism, we do not have the kind of information that supports an absolute assertion.
They might want to go for sprinkling instead of dunking. Man eating crocs don"t fit into tea cups.
I saw this. That had to be gorey. Wonder how his congregation is reconciling that with their beliefs
That croc has fantastic comedic timing and he needs to be signed to an agent immediately.
Damn, that's terrible.
Damn, that's terriblY FUNNY !
I like your comment because you are not making a joke about somebody getting killed in a horrible way. As a matter of fact, your pointing out how terrible it is.
