For those of you who don't believe in soul or spirit, what do you call the part of you being crushed by corporate greed and political corruption?

I don't believe you have to have soul or spirit to have morals or wants and needs. I believe that you probably like myself have worked hard to get where we want to be in life satisfaction and are maddened by those that take from us what we have honestly worked for.

Or the perception at times.

I don't allow said crushing. It's innate, the greed and soulless victimizing. If I allow myself to be crushed by it, I am allowing myself to become a victim.

Alienation from self, from others, from the world. Oppression. Depression. Subjugation. Servitude. Maybe even fascism, yes? Being crushed by corporate greed and political corruption is inhumane (period).

Good question. I guess Martin Luther king did it justice when he said we could either work together as brothers or perish together as fools.

Good question. We haven't really found a good technique to use the scientific method on feelings and their source and meaning. Still, I wouldn't attribute emotions to mythical beings. Probably mostly environment and genetics, but we're still too primitive to know.
