This is a fascinating series - kind of a cross between TV series The Wire and the Best Picture film Spotlight, but it's portrayal of the Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore is one of pure evil. My mother and ex-wife were both recovering, ex-communicated Catholics and it sheds a bit of light on the reason for their being plagued with fear their entire lives. Unconscionable!
I did see that...horrendous abuse and sister Cathy was trying her best to help the victims. So sad.
There is also some awful history in the Magdalene laundries and some documentaries and feature films about that period.
Religion has brought little good that I can see in its history.
I've not heard of that. But I'm glad it's been made.
