Ok. Who loves the singing of these two women and why.
IMO- Odetta for her purity of voice and unaffected presentation of songs that have stood the rest of time.
Odetta: Motherless Child
Joan also for purity of voice but then IMO she allowed interference of her simplicity of presentation when record companies insisted on backing groups and cleverness. She also moved away from traditional songs into pop.
