Stories like this....smh. I'm 56. I graduated with a B.A. and a M.A. I managed to do this with no student debt. (No, my parents are not wealthy. But I did have great academic scholarships that I worked extremely hard to earn.) I have friends, though, who tell me horror stories of graduating with 45 THOUSAND dollars in student debt just a B.A. From a (good, but not outrageously expensive) state university. Oy vey!
