Does anybody read the Star Wars books as well as love the films?

I was a little over half way through reading all the books when Disney bought the franchise and scrapped the EU so I gave up but I did enjoy most of the ones I read.

Oh hell yeah! My favorite was "Death Star", Star Wars told from the "groundlings" POV.

And then, there's this...

I've read several of the books - some are great, others... not so much. But I'll take it all because I love Star Wars!

I just got the original trilogy graphic novel (a fairly new release), does that count? 🙂

It's likely to have more detail so I'll say yeah. But the Darth Bane trilogy is awesome and there are a lot of interesting stories that happen before the films such as Darth Plageuis teaching Palatine/Sidius

Good to know! Yesterday I was at Barnes & Noble, and they had a large display wall that was everything Star Wars — books, games, and other fun stuff... On the other side of the wall it was exactly the same, but all Harry Potter. Made my geeky heart happy. 🙂

I'm not that much of a geek. 😛

Of course. The whole story could not be contained in the films.

Don't read the books, only like the original film.
