Computer BIOS?
I've been studying about computers for pleasure for a week now. I'm on chapter 3. I've learned that the basic in out system happens at the initial booting if a computer and that it's a hard drive systems check. I finally understand what BIOS is. Amirite you computer geeks out there? Anything else I should understand on a basic level?

@Commonsense yes it does look old. Still gave a good general description of what it does. Most users will never see that screen.
