The real question is why is there a D in fridge but not in refrigerator?

Instead of trying to figure it out, I'd get off my ass, walk into the kitchen, open the refrigerator door, and take a look. Might even smell it to make sure it hadn't turned.
P.S. I've obviously missed something.

@atheist Ahh. It's been a long day. I was being too literal. Agreed. There is no "milk".But I do have a couple of sticks of butter, if you need, of course. 😉

No, there is no "milk" in " the fridge"
The two words/phrases do not share the same character set.
