Too many to choose from but I needed a root canal a few months ago, could not sleep due to pain. Put oil of cloves on a cotton ball, held it against my tooth, and slept like a rock for 5 hours. Then I noticed the numbing agent the dentist used tasted like oil of cloves. Also Marathon Man, he used oil of cloves.
I also like lavender oil, and eucalyptus when I have a cold.
