I'm really sick and tired of athletes looking up and thanking the sky when they hit a home run or score a touchdown. You millionaire athletes need to give all of that "praise" to your teammates, coaches and fans.

Yes, has long been a peeve of mine also. You did it. You practiced for hours and hours to get where you are and to seek approval from "someone" up there, or to give thanks for their "allowing" you to accomplish what you did seems silly to me.

I know right. "I like to thank God".....bullshit.

I agree with that. When and Why did religion get into sports. Why, do these people think that God or any God cares about the outcome of a sports game??

I find it really annoying. You worked hard at something you loved and had great success. Thank your coaches, teammates , friends and family for guiding and rooting for you along the way. But the accomplishment is yours.

so with you there. Who do they turn to when they shank a sitter ? Satan . NOT. It appears to be hard wired in us all . We all "believe " in money and corporations, 2 totally imagined phenomena. It seems our imagination is what separates us from the apes and the only way to control us en masse is through these wonderful tales

Lol reminds me of when the Packers beat the Seahawks and Rodgers made a joking comment about how God wasnt a seattle fan or something poking at the fact that Wilson always thanks God

Yes, because god cares about who wins a football game, then starving children! Tim Tebow is probably one of the best examples of players who think their god determines the outcome. How sad!
