You may not have heard about this but William Shatner was wanting to bring out his own womens clothing line ; however the studio point blank refused as they couldn't reconcile the name that he wanted to call the line with the product which was Lingerie and they had a real problem with the name Shatner panties.

Was utterly fascinated by the way Kirk could outwit any predicament with his very human traits of creativity, intuition, and emotion, combined with his intelligence. The fantasy of such a mind was so much more believable when the best chess player could still defeat the best computer. Loved the contrast with Spock who was coldly rationale and dispassionate.
