Crazy!!!
Awesome!
I had both my kids at home, with a midwife.
The trouble with home births is that nobody takes them seriously. My daughter was born in 30 minutes then my husband, who'd happened to be home for lunch, went back to his office, the midwives rolled up their paper sheets, and left, leaving me sitting "alone" in an easy chair, holding a newborn, with a toddler playing nearby.
I was thirsty and starved, but my insides felt like they'd fallen out, so I wasn't able to do anything about it.
Luckily, a girlfriend stopped by to check on me, then rushed off to get me a plate of whole wheat bagels smothered in cream cheese and even bought me some pink crocheted baby clothes, since I hadn't expected having a girl.
Also, I'd given birth three weeks early.
