I believe Dan Quayle also spoke at an anti-gay gathering when he was VP.

can you provide more details? I don't find anything in a quick google search.
@HippieChick58 That is mostly because Dan Quayle was VP back before the internet was established. A lot of old news items considered to be "small" were never archived on the net. If you looked, you'd fihdn that few articles about the first George Bush had been archived either.
