- Good News: when I received some of the best news when it was confirmed about that same cousin when he didn’t have Leukemia, and it was a mistake when he really had just lupus.

You wouldn't be the first to hear it. You'd think, with a name like Ben--three simple letters, there wouldn't be much you could do with it, but not true: Benthoven, Ben Dover, Ben the Rat, Benny and the Jets, Been there Done That, Obi Wan, Ben Kenobi, Ben Gay, Been a Long Time, Big Ben, Gentle Ben, Ben Jammin', Benji, Benj, Bent, Bento, BendOver and Say Ah!... There's more, but I think you get the picture. 
The good news, my kid let me sleep all the way until 7am.
The bad news, I didn’t go to sleep until after 3am.

The good news was that I was woken by a gorgeous woman handing me a $100million cheque saying that I had won the lottery.
The bad news was that I really awoke with a raging hangover lying in the gutter with the rain pouring down on me whilst still clutching a soggy "Dear John" note.

@EllenDale In my dreams, in my dreams! Lol. One dissolved with my consciousness (like the hangover) and the other was already disintegrating and fading into the dross of passing inconsequential banter. Thank you for responding. The mighty pink heart algo has us at an astonishingly high level of compatability. I shall have to come and say hello.
The bad news is that it is so damn cold outside with more snow to come, Trump is still POTUS and I live among his supporters, I live paycheck to paycheck, I'm exercising but the weight isn't coming off, the cat chewed through the cord on my phone charger. .......I'm sorry, what was the rest of the question?

I can relate to that. There may be many layers... but of the same ingredients. And the same taste. But on the spirit of good news and bad news... The Bad News is I don't have a job. The Good News is I don't need a job. When you are retired goddamit you are retired.
