Daughter Claire, 28, and Matt, 33, were married at Lake Chelan in September 2018.
After three years together, they bought a house in Lake Stevens in March 2017.
The wedding was touching, simple and beautiful. Sixty-four guests. Matt made a white, wooden rack to hold gift succulent plants for guests. The newlyweds asked Terry, Claire's dad, and I to witness their wedding certificate.
Terry, made the "Matt and Claire" sign and decorated the entire area. He's an artist. I made my burgundy dress and a black, satin bow tie for Claire's dog.
Lookalikes Claire and her niece Nina, 16 (blue dress).
Nina brought a gift bag with a tag, "Matt and Claire." Neatly folded inside were party clothes Claire had loaned to Nina.
"These are my clothes!" Claire exclaimed and laughed.
Lovely family. You looked very happy ... oh and of course wonderful. ??
@Unbral
Thank you so much! The cheering group shot is Claire's family.
Here's Cocoa in his satin bow tie. I made it large for comic effect.
Half husky and half golden retriever, Cocoa is a lovable, goofy dog.
Looks like a happy day was had by all. Congrats to the newlyweds. Love your dress.
Thank you! I made the dress for $18 (the fabric was 40% off) and tailored it to fit me. Aimed for simple elegance with my mother's pearls.
Retail mother-of-the-bride dresses cost $500 and up.
Absolutely beautiful.. your daughter and you, the venue. Truly memorable.
Thank you, dear!
Mazel Tov! Aka Congratulations! Beautiful bride.
Thank you. Claire is half-Spanish. Love my girl.
@LiterateHiker Ah, so pretty. You’re a lucky mama and, I imagine, a good one. Also, I recognize the story of Nina’s gift from a separate post
