So I've heard of Brotherhood's, and Sisterhood's, but I propose we start a Sibinghood in which all open-minded, loving, compassionate, and understanding members, be valued by their Knowledge, and Wisdom. It's about time true Human Values be held above wealth and status.
what about the clitoral hood?
LOL! Sadly most Men don't know what that is or how to make it work properly. Is there a training course I could attend?
i wish lol
joking aside I watched married men with children etc being interviewed in the street once asking where a woman's clit was and id say most of them guessed badly or just didn't know. I was quite shocked. even some of the wives didn't know.
Funnily enough I've used the term brother and sister atheists referring to fellow non believers, and in a respectful way. I can see what you're getting at. Not sure about some agnostics, though. I think they're more like first cousins. (Oh, I'm gonna be roasted for that one. )
I think the main thing that unites us, freedom from religion, is one thing. However, there are many differences that can divide us (try to start a conversation on immigration or food choices). We do have differences but it's how we handle those differences that should guide us.
My sister is a believer, and we have discussions once in a while, but in the end I know she will have her voice and I mine.
I will never know if her faith or lack of mine hold us back from being closer sisters, but I know we're going to be together for a long time, so time will tell.
Are we suggesting that "The Siblinghood" be the new subtitle/tag-line for Agnostic.com? hehehe
What ever works for us Brother.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sure I can cotton to the term. What about community? Isn't that what we are all seeking here?
What ever you like. The wise know, you can never please everyone.
@DwayneHicks I do like the concept, though!
You want to start a UU fellowship in your area?
Here, here...I second the motion!
So I guess you're our Honorary Vice President. I'm serious about organizing or joining a nonviolent group, that hopefully some day can change the way Humanity does, well just about everything.
First bit of True Wisdom, just sent to me by my Best Friend who also happens to be my little Sister.
"Being rude is easy. It takes no effort and is a sign of weakness and insecurity.
Kindness shows great self-discipline and strong self-esteem. Being kind is not always easy when dealing with rude people. Kindness is a sign of a person who has done much personal work, and has come to a great self-understanding and Wisdom. Choose to be kind over being right, and you'll be right every time because kindness is a sign of Strength."
@PeaceContagion Okay then, let's get started. What do I need to do?
