This big corporate farms will be able to use their very generous welfare checks to snatch up farmland at bargain basement prices. Great for the well connected CEOs of the ag companies, but not so good for the family farmer and the loss of competition certainly won't be good for the consumer in the long run.

This is the heart of the problem; "Why hasn’t Congress reined in the largess and stopped farm subsidy abuses? Well, our auditors found 12 members of Congress collected up to $637,059 in subsidy payments last year alone." The greedy, conniving sonsofbitches that think up the schemes are elected by us.
