It's just another manufactured holiday designed to make people feel like failures if they don't spend oodles of money on cards, dinners, diamonds, and anything else advertisers and marketers can sucker us into spending money on.
Here's an idea. Let the people you love know they are important to you on other days. It's more meaningful that way.
