Doesn't it annoy you when legal documents such as warranties and insurance papers reference "acts of God" as though you are supposed to know what that does or does not include? What words should replace "acts of God"? Couldn't they simply refer to "random occurrences" instead of pretending an omnipresent omnipotent unseen third party acted in an unruly way?
That has been a gripe of mine for years. An Act of Nature is what they would use if they were honest, but insurance is not an honest proposition.
When ever you sign an insurance policy, you are handing over the responsibilty of your actions with whatever you are insuring, at the same time agreeing to the rules laid out by the insurance company as to how you are supposed to 'act' with said property.
'sides, isn't everything "an act of God"?
Good point! Doesn't narrow it down at all.
