To all you Moms and Dads, quit being so damned hard on yourselves. I'm willing to bet money that you are ALL doing your best to do right by your children, all the time, even when it isn't feeling like it.
We all make mistakes sometimes, and none of us are perfect.
That said, you make fewer mistakes than you think you do.
Please be proud of yourselves. You are doing the hardest job in the world, and your kids are terrific. They love you for you.

My kids went through many hard times, and as parents we had our share of disappointments. I can tell you that I am proud of all of my adult children, and grand children.

Our son ran out on us after a fight. He now thinks his dad destroyed his youth, but he did not give any examples or arguments for it. So, why should I feel guilty, I don't even know where he's talking about.

Thanks, Gator. I sometime become overcome by my children's pain. I know it is life and that I survived to fairly normal, but it saddens me like nothing else.
