Just finished a massage on a client of mine who said he wished he had worked less and goofed off more. Reminded me of the old saying, "no body on there death bed ever said I should have worked more". Any thoughts on this
The way I live my life is predicated along these lines. I "retired" many times in my life, it lasts 7 years on average, I am not wealthy, I have never been interested in travel, but spent a lot of quality time with my kids and undertook many projects I believe in. The idea is to think back on my death bed and say "no regrets".
Your client and the old saying are right. I've literally watched a colleague work himself to death. It would have been better for him and his family if he had been able to achieve some balance.
Good advice. More balance with work and relaxation is something we should do before we retire.
