I figured out why men don't ask me out. It's not my face, but how old I look as to how old I really am. I'm 30-years-old and when people asked how old I would be for my birthday, they all thought 19 or 20-years-old. I think men think I'm just out of high school. Asians are slow to age. With my height (5 ft tall) and my weight/petite build, (97lbs) I don't look my age. When I go out to with my friends whom are 40 or so, they take me out to eat or to the bar. I get carded if I want alcohol. Once a friend ordered wine and I asked her if I could try it, (I was 27-years-old, and didn't want a glass of it. I'm not a drinker) the person pouring wine said I had to ask my mother! I whipped my ID card out and he said he was sorry. I get carded at the liquor store, game store when I buy Rated-M games, casinos, and once the porn store. I could pass as my older friend's kids. When I go to Wal-Mart with my aunt, I look like her grandkid. No one approaches me in Wal-Mart. I do drink a lot of water. I made a previous post on the effects of water drinking and aging. When I'm 40-years-old, I want to look 25!

Looking younger than you are can be a curse or a blessing, depending on how you look at it. I've been told that I look a lot younger than I really am. My daughter is the same way. She'll be 22 next month, and she still gets carded every time she asks for a glass of wine. I've been told I look anywhere from early 30s to early 40s. I was often carded myself after I turned 21. I don't' mind it now, but it did bother me then. The only thing that really matters is how you feel.

Yep.

I hear you loooud and cleear! I, too, am a tiny Asian person! I look more than a decade younger than I am. I have dealt with condescending people of all manner over the fact that I look so young.

Often times I hear the whole, "You'll understand when you're My Age" scoff when in reality I am often older or at the very least, far older that I was assumed to be.

I look like a kid too so fully understand! haha

Yes, when I first looked at your profile I totally assumed you were around 20 years old.

I wish. Lol.

You say that nobody approaches you at Wal-Mart as if that's a bad thing! Hahaha

It is. I see hot guys all the time.

@Sarahroo29 I'm a hot guy 😉

Hah... I'm surprised to hear that there's a place that cards for games. They all are suppose to with anything M or higher. But in my experiences, I've never seen it happen.
(No one cards me. But then again, I look like I've been to war) (For good reasons, I look my age)

I would take the carding as a compliment. Most women do. Hell, if anyone ever did card me. I would probably laugh in their face.

As for men not approaching you...
That's a tough one.
I don't think it's necessarily your youthful appearance.
I can't say what it could possibly be because that sort of thing requires in person observation.
We all can speculate, but there's no answer for certainty. Hell, I would date you but I know I don't meet your standards. Plus, I'm in Chicago.

Okay. What is your avatar? It's all dark.

@Sarahroo29 that's a very old picture of me. Taken back in 2003. I liked the way that it came out. 3/4 profile, dark room and just some of my face actually lit up.

@NeoXerops Okay.
