If one considers what is known about the disinformation campaign conducted by covert Russian government agencies, it is little wonder this interviewer's line of questioning turned its slanted eye toward politics, particulatly her questioning about the democratic electoral systems of both the UK and the United States, and the rise to political power seeming to usurp religios power, as demonstrated by its elected leaders, specifically Donald Trump. Dawkins' responses are spot on and worth a (re)listen.
