LINK Steve King backs rebuke of his supremacist comments; it passes House

This is encouraging. It seems there is a limit to how much racism the republicans will tolerate after all.

i was surprised that the one "no" vote wasn't some racist kkk-er like scalise. it was from someone who thought the rebuke was insufficient! well, i agree, but it doesn't preclude his being called upon to resign. it probably won't happen, but it still could.

Nah. It's just politically expedient for them to make an example of King.
If they REALLY wanted to show people they have no use for racism, they'd have condemned 45 a long time ago.

I agree. 45 should be called out for his racism. I am not saying that the republican party is not generally racist. I just find it encouraging that their racism does seem to have some limits. I am just in a sense relieved that they have finally drawn a line somewhere as if t6o say, "Now that is going too far... even for us."

Yes, I do agree they only drew the line out of political expedience, but they have finally drawn a line somehwere... that in itself is encouraging.
