I'll try anything once, and usually like most stuff. But any good southern soul food type dish will disappear first.
Grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches with potato chips added.
Food... I am equal opportunity except korean. My system do not like korean as served here in america. My son loves korean. I am fond of the food of my land. Puerto Rico. That is Mofongo made out of smashed plantines and stewed chicken along a side order of tostones.
I don't like candy or pastries but I do lean sweet rather than savory -- so bread in every conceivable form, crepes / pancakes / waffles, that sort of thing. Eggs, oatmeal (can you tell I'm a breakfast person?).
Alas -- I have Type 2 diabetes so if I like it, it's bad for me.
I have made myself eat things like turkey burgers without bun, learned to exercise (another forced activity I've never acquired a taste for) -- so there went my last reliable sources of instant gratification. I'm down to morning coffee with erythritol instead of sugar as pretty much the one eating-related activity I look forward to.
Getting old is a bitch.

We need a food category, yes?? My latest obsession is green curry, edamame pasta, and popcorn. Not all together, of course!

For breakfast I love huevos rancheros. Love soups, home made only, French, Italian and German.
