Here in central Florida, sinkholes are a regular reality, that can sometimes turn terrifying.
A few years back, while a family slept in their house, a huge sinkhole opened up under the bedroom of one of the occupants - a young man. It literally swallowed the entire room, the furniture in it, and the man in his bed !
His brother heard the panicked cries, and ran down the hall, opening the door just in time to see this guy disappear into the void. He jumped in the hole to try and reach his brother's hand reaching up - but could not save him - and the guy disappeared forever ... The stuff nightmares are made of !

If it happened once - perhaps it could happen again ... under the White House. PLEASE !
