LINK Rise of the Atheists: Why are we losing our religion? - YouTube

FTA: America is the most religious country in the developed world. And a lot of people here are NOT down with atheists. Check this out: 40% of Americans wouldn't vote for an atheist for president. 44% wouldn't want their kid to marry one. 45% say belief in God is necessary to have good values. But the number of non-believers is on the rise. Is religion on its way out? And do you really need religion to live a moral life?

My favorite was a sign in front of a church in my town that had the following message (get ready to groan): CH CH What's Missing? U R ( I told you it was a groaner.....ha ha)

@MissKathleen
The very same one in the OP’s video above.

@MissKathleen

Most scholars see a SLOW trend towards secularization in the US. The slow part is maddening.

And just because a person marks the box "non-affiliated" does not mean they are non-believers. They just haven't formally joined a congregation at a church/synagogue/mosque. I compare it to online shopping....don't need the physical store to shop in anymore...they may still be 'spiritual' and 'believers' anyway but not attend religious services.

Only an idiot believes that people don't have good values or morals.
