Just in case the Christians are right...

As I understand it, the Apocalypse can't take place until the Gospel is preached to "all nations of the Earth", or words to that effect. So, to be on the safe side, shouldn't those of us who like the planet as it is push for an immediate end to all missionary activities? I mean, suppose they're just one nation away from total gospel preaching? Maybe all they need is to reach one kid in Nairobi or somewhere, and Boom! Apocalypse!!

I don't expect this will really happen, but I like to play it safe. Also, then all the money that they waste on missionary trips could go to actual charity and helping poor people. I mean, it would be useful. Jesus (were he alive today) would like that, I think.

The harder you push against religious zealots, the more violent they will become. And that was most likely true about the even more ancient superstitions that were the predecessors of the Judeo/Xian/Islamic sects that are wreaking havoc upon our world today. Archeological evidence supports this theory.
Let them indulge in their superstitions while searching for a way to establish peaceful coexistence as well as defending ourselves from those that will shed innocent blood in the name of whatever god they worship.
And, keep heart that's it's those of us that answer to no god, but to our human brethren, that desire to be at peace with the world,

'Just in case the Christians are right...'

(pops up in hell)

me: "WTF!"
me: "well...shit... I didn't see that one coming."

(shrugs)

me: "At least I'm in good company"

(walks towards the atheist section)

I was once told once saved always saved

I may piss myself laughing; "just in case the Christians are right", well their are not, we don't need to lose sleep over this one.
You want to worry about an apocalypse then worry about the one human are creating that will take everyone believers and non believers.
