Fire should have won the day. Fire is far more valuable to innovation than anything else. The wheel is great, but fire gave us the ability to shape the world. Without fire we don't have access to metals, we don't have access to rubber. It aided in cooked foods which gave us better digestible foods. It kept us from freezing to death. The wheel gave us mobility, but I would have given the blue ribbon to fire for sure.
