It's proven to be a myth for a long time. What is Big Foot? The World Champion for hide-and-seek?
This is where the big hype happened. The JFK assination is another story.

I have done some minor. research on this. The best reasoning that I have come across is. There is some plant or fungi that releases an inhaled hallucinogen causing the sasquatch legend. I believe this because for as many years as sightings have been described through hunting season not one specimen have been recovered.
