LINK Two more states are dumping Christopher Columbus to celebrate indigenous people instead

One tiny step forward at a time. (In this most godawful time in America, it's funny how these little tiny progressive measures can feel like a victory of sorts. In more sane times, most of us probably wouldn't even have noticed this.)

Yeah, about time. My community did it in 1992 to celebrate the 500 year anniversary and have continued ever since.

Let me clarify. 500 years of cultural survival since Columbus.
