This raises that ever powerful question, "What DO we do with them?" It's tough to view but that question will always be in the forefront. Any solutions?
they need to involve agencies equipped to deal with disasters...the Red Cross, the military, even FEMA...they are professionals in emergency management...there is no reason beds, food, toilets, medical care, etc. can't be readily available to treat them as humans until they can be processed or sent back...good grief...we rescued dogs and treated them better when the hurricanes hit...
this is not a new problem but it has escalated to a critical point...no more freaking blame...just do something...I would challenge all of the elected officials to come up with some viable solutions and not just complain and whine...they are part of the problem if they are not part of the solution...
