LINK There's so much CO2 in the atmosphere that planting trees can no longer save us

Well, it might help slow things down so we live out our lives alright, but the grand kids and their kids will still be fucked.

And yet another new study out saying planting trees will help.

My big problem with restoring and planting new forests as a measure to mitigating global warming is... drought and wildfires. Until we come up with tried and tested ways of quashing wildfires quickly, this will remain a potential pitfall with the whole idea.

Yep. And the trees can only hold so much. It is not an infinite sucking up system.
