Impeachment proceedings are a very bad idea. It will never happen, unfortunately.

And also, historically, presidents who were impeached saw a rise in their public approval ratings.

It's unlikely there will be enough votes in the Senate to succeed. Then you'll have that vile scum going into the next election with an advantage.
