I support Venice and other popular destination cities in cracking down on tourists' disrespectful, loutish behavior. This is not a campground.
I winced at all the belongings these tourists spread around. Right next to a canal. A strong wind could blow their stuff into the water.

I agree that there's things people shouldn't do. Did they not stay at a hotel or did they sleep in an alley somewhere? Reminds me of my hippie days.
File that under things stupid tourists do. A long list for sure.
