I know too many Canadians, myself included, that either refuse or are reluctant to cross into the US. I do know this is hurting the US tourism industry.

I'm from the US, but I feel safe moving around in Canadian cities and European cities, but can't say the thing about US cities, and I'm no shrinking violet. US cities are some of the most dangerous places on the planet.
