I believe the reason there are so many anti vaxxers and conspiracy theorists in the world, is because we have been lied to, are, and will continue to be regarding what is safe. When people don't feel they can trust anything where people stand to get very rich by deceiving the public, this is sadly the result.

I have an acquaintance who who left a large corporation, for this very reason. Scientists were paid to "bend the truth" about results found. It's pretty depressing.
