Watched Martin Scorsese's Silent recently. It is basically about the Japanese supression of Christianity in their homeland in the 17th Century through the eyes of two Portoguese missionaries. Although the Japanese were cruel, I honestly supported their belief and efforts with this matter.

It was an excellent movie. I read the book, too (English translation of course). My stepson was on a kick last year reading Japanese fiction authors.

Chtistians are absolutely vugar in doing this.

They generally end up stealing any land the people have as well.
