I don't eat steak, but if I did, I'd prefer it charred black on the outside with a red (raw) center.
@arronpaul46 I don't eat anything I won't kill, so as far as animals go, that leaves only seafood.
Rare, but not a cold/cool center. Anything beyond medium rare is very difficult for me to choke down due to dryness and a stringy texture.
Honestly, it reflects how my patents served it as I was growinh up. I cannot stand dry strings between my teeth, digging into my gums, which is how anything beyond rare feels (to me).
