The Alien Planets of TRAPPIST-1 May Be Too Wet for Life...

I would think the fact that they are tidally locked to the star is more detriment to life than too much water.
Tho I have heard it speculated that in some cases being tidally locked can actually be a benefit in evening out the total temperature & bring some 'nearer' planets to a more stable overall temperature.
@phxbillcee If a planet is tidally locked does that not means it only rotates one per revolution around the star? One side would cook and the other freeze on a water world that would mean insane storms and currents ripping from one side to the other.
@HeathenFarmer Yeah, probably be hard to get any life going there!
