Excellent news.
CNN has rejected two of President Donald Trump’s campaign ads because they contain “demonstrably false” assertions and “statements of fact that are not true.”
On Friday, the network confirmed its refusal to air the 30-second spots, which peddle unsubstantiated corruption allegations aimed at former Vice President Joe Biden, a leading Democratic rival to Trump in the 2020 election.
The ads also claim the House’s impeachment inquiry is “nothing short of a coup” and mock CNN employees as “media lapdogs.”
MSM answers to trillionaire bankers, most of whom are Jewish.
California is about to start up public banks to serve the people and not screw the people.
Once I met Steve Axilrod at a party. He was manager of the Federal Open Market Committee at the Fed. (1980s I asked him: "How do you know how much money to put into the economy?" "That depends on how much unemployment you want", he answered. He said also that he developed the system for telling how much money is available, M1, M2 and M3.
What does this conspiracy theory (with a generous dose of racism) have to do with the story at hand? Or, I dunno... anything?
No one had a problem with this democratic presidential ad.
You can still see it today as an example of falsehood and character assassination. Sounds like trump is just a copycat. I'm not surprised.
That's a load of, with all due respect, moose pucky.
Plenty of people at the time had a problem with the ad, for one thing. Just like Reagan's 1984 "Wolves" ad, and Bush's similar 2004 ad. Using scary imagery in wartime (it was the Cold War, after all) is nothing new, and saying that your opponent can't be trusted to handle National Security goes back to the Civil War at least.
Trump is different. Accusing Congress of plotting a coup via impeachment proceedings is saying that the law isn't the law. Imagine the furore the Republican party would have put on if Bill Clinton had said anything even hinting at this during the Lewinsky scandal. But, again, their standards are different when it's one of their own.
@Paul4747 my favorite election was Jefferson - Adam's (1800).
All others with the exception of Jackson- JQ Adams (1828 ) would have to be considered tame
This is as it should be. Even so, a new thing is happening now. It appears that Trump has signed to expand Medicare and Medicaid. This could only be a move to try for the senior votes in 2020 to a greater degree than before. The GOP simply does not do healthcare. On the way home tonight I heard a political add on Jack FM that we need to avoid Nancy Pelosi's "socialist push" for healthcare for all because we simply cannot afford it. Look at the horrible things this has done to socialist countries, the ad said. I claim we need the same medical care as Congress and Senate regardless of what you want to call it.
Does anyone see the politics of this? I do, and look at the timing. We have the Trump lies as usual. Last I checked my free healthcare would cost me about $100 a month to do it the Trump way.
