Why do messages vanish from your inbox?

Question

"I am a doctor temporary in Afghanistan. Please given me your email." Seems like a scammer.

Yesterday I was pestered by a man from Los Angeles with a poor command of the English language.

This morning, he asked for my email and whatsapp contact number (phone).

"Not interested," I replied. "We live too far apart. Furthermore, I am dating an expert rock climber who lives 30 miles away."

Immediately his messages vanished from my inbox. Odd. What does this mean?

p.s. His profile was removed.

Whatsapp & gmail are easy to hack,
In some corporate settings they are disallowed as a means of communication

He’s more than likely been removed....and his offending messages with him!

I think it might be because his membership was terminated.
