Every year, just when the crocuses bloom, we get three inches of snow. Without fail. Would somebody please tell Mother Nature to get back on her meds?

Crocus bloom because of the cold.
They last longer in the cold.
Same with a lot of bulbs.

Are you referring to saffron? Or common?

But they roll over, wilted, when a blanket of snow gets laid out. ?

@Nottheonlyone
Yeah. It’s crazy. 😟

maybe they are targets

I could say blame it on climate change. But if I believed in God I would say its punishment from the man upstairs which kind of sounds totally rediculous.

Mother Nature's been having a schizophrenic episode in NNY for the last six weeks or so. I don't think there's any hope for her.

Ha! I was just telling a friend that Indiana is where she comes when she needs to have a psychotic episode! Great minds!

@Nottheonlyone I attended college in southern Indiana (the now-defunct Saint Meinrad College, where the archabbey is), and I recall some psychotic weather. Fortunately, the winters were pretty mild.

@resserts True. I just really don't like the cold. My body temperature dropped from 98.6 to 97.4 when I had my son. I've been cold for almost 14 years now.

@Nottheonlyone You also live further north, so it's a bit colder where you are. That's a significant drop in body temperature. Does childbirth often result in a change in body temperature?

@resserts I have no idea if it's normal, it's just what happened to me. I'm guessing not, since every doctor I've seen seems to think I'm crazy.

@Nottheonlyone That's so strange. They can take your temperature and verify it's significantly lower than average, so I wonder why they are so quick to dismiss it.

@resserts It's because they are unable to find a medical reason for it. Doctors generally don't like it when they have to admit they don't have all the answers.
