LINK USPS to release "Sesame Street" stamps in honor of show's anniversary -- yes, "Sesame Street" turns 50 today
For those of us of a certain age, "Sesame Street" has a lot of meaning. I was just a little too old to truly appreciate it (I was six, and already in 1st grade), but I still could get into it, and even today I still remember some of the songs, characters, and stories from when it first began... Not having children of my own, I don't know first-hand how kids today react, there's so much more out there for them than there was when there was only seven TV channels, a few movies, and no Internet.
