No its like being a carnivorous vegan

While scientists are more skeptical than the public as a whole there are still a lot of scientists who express some religious affiliation:

"Nearly half of all scientists in the 2009 Pew Research Center poll (48%) say they have no religious affiliation (meaning they describe themselves as atheist, agnostic or nothing in particular), compared with only 17% of the public."

What a person personally believes, does not necessarily effect the public work they have trained for and do.
