On the subject of corruption, if any organization (such as the RNC) has threatened Senators with refusal to financially support said Senators' re-election campaigns if they don't vote against impeachment, is that not in itself corrupt?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Only if one can show it was deliberately designed to bias a vote. Merely not supporting a candidate is not a crime. It has to be shown that it was a bribe.

I wasn't asking about any legal application or remedy, but simply whether or not this kind of action would constitute corruption.
For example, the Republican National Committee tells a Senator to vote against impeachment or they won't help his next campaign in any way, including but not limited to money.
