There are three main sources of fear Famine, War and Disease any or or all of which leading to death, (one thing the stoned mushroom Hippy st. John got right on his drug fuel Patmos holiday)
Each takes a turn for a few years, before people get used to the idea this is not the end of the world, it's all change... at which point the next in line steps up and starts yelling BOOGAWOOGAWOOGA

@SeaGreenEyez The big difference between the USA and the PRC is that in America people live in fear of the loss of freedom too and in China they live in fear of the loss of Freedom from.
