LINK Minnesota pastor leads campaign to try to shift evangelical vote - StarTribune.com

Someone on this site referred to Trump followers as Talibangelicals. I think that fits.

Good luck to this guy to try to bring them back to some level of sanity.

If I had to tell eighty percent of my cult to act like logical adults, I would tell THEM to fuck off. They are already lost.

Cannot read it without subscribing. A bloody pop-up box keeps appearing. 😠😡

Third time i tried it went away.

@Lorajay Forget it!
I tried.5 times in succession, no luck. Then I tried the login box and then pressed the "back" option. Still no luck.

On most sties where those boxes appear, there is a place to click to close the box. Usually on the bottom there is a line, which is sometimes greyish, that say something like "continue without subscribing". It varies form site to site though, and once in a great while there is no way to close the box.

Same thing for the box tha tells you to close your ad blocker, only most of the time they don't let you close this box, but on a few you can.

@snytiger6 I searched everywhere for a "close" option of any sort. Zilch !

“...represents the small cracks in the evangelical base that helped propel Trump into office. More than 80% of white evangelical Christians voted for Trump in 2016 and continue to support him in his bid for re-election.”

Trumps base is “Evangelicals”? How can that be? So called evangelicals constitute only one fourth of the country. So two tenths of the population is blamed for “propelling” DT into office.

Has it occurred to anyone that people do not vote based on their religion but on their political opinions as well as their assessment of the candidates? There are a LOT of conservatives across the country, and many of them live in historically Protestant regions. So what?

I am pretty sure many of the people I know that say they are voting pro life are really voting anti tax.

Yes!

Those evangelicals are so intrenched and hung up within their Rapture wish that they will sacrifice anything to go to their mystical religious paradise!!!
