LINK SOUTHIN' OFF: Southern hospitality is a myth (Trae Crowder)

This makes so much sense to me.. I'm not from the south but I am rural. The "small town charm" mentality comes off differently to me since 2016. It is almost always used as veiled racism to talk bad about "city people"..

Yeah, there is a mythical element to it. There are some regional differences in behavior patterns but they are skin deep. There are curmudgeons everywhere. There are caring, warm-hearted people in all regions. It is expressed differently. That’s all.

I do find alot of the "small town county hospitality" things I see and hear from my neighbors and coworkers are often used to say city people are less moral and alot of times directly to throw shade on less religious or less white populations.
